June marks the start of Filipino Heritage Month, and this year, we also commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Canada and the Philippines. Find out how we’re celebrating.
Proudly Celebrating Filipino Heritage Month in Canada
June is a special month for Filipinos, marked by the launch of Filipino Heritage Month, a time for vibrant cultural celebrations. This year, the festivities hold even more significance as we also commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Canada and the Philippines.
OTT Remit is excited to support and celebrate the various events taking place throughout June. We kicked off the celebrations by supporting the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) at their launch event for Filipino Heritage Month, held on May 29, 2024, at Madonna Catholic School.
June promises to be a fun-filled month with these initial event line-ups:
- No-Cost Dental Hygiene Day of The Filipino-Canadian Dental Hygienists’ Society (TFCDHS)
- Filipino-Canadian Students’ Association (FILCASA) Summit
- Proudly Pinoy Adobo Festival of the Toronto Catholic District Schoolboard (TCDSB)
- OFW and Caregivers Day of the Canadian Caregivers Assistance Organization (CCAO)
- Bilateral Business Synergies: Philippines and Canada Trade Forum of the Philippine Canadian Chamber of Commerce
- “When I Met You in Tokyo” film showing by Tala Entertainment
- Filipino Night Market of Pinay Tayo
